P.O.D.- The Fundamental Elements of Southtown

P.O.D.'s Atlantic debut is hip-hoppin, hardcore worshippin, God glorifyin disc that can't be missed. Even though P.O.D. has crossed over to the mainstream, that doesn't mean they've sold-out. These lyrics are bigger and bolder than ever. "Hollywood" speaks about people wanting to be superstars and ignoring God and what He's given them already. "Southtown" is a very hardcore song with some crunchin riffs in complete P.O.D. style. "Outkast" is a new concert favorite and is certainly no exception on here. They even cover a U2 song ("Bullet the Blue Sky") and very well I might add. In a different venue for P.O.D., they try their hand at praise and worship. "Set Your Eyes to Zion" is just awesome, even better live. Style-listically, Southtown is a lot harder and a lot more Latin-influenced than Brown. A lot more hip-hop. Some vocal-effects were used to add a very cool flavor to the sound. Fans of new and old should love this disc.
