Plumb
--candycoatedwaterdrops--
My musical tastes are extremely diverse (as you may see in my CD
reviews) so my punk friends look at me weird when I show them my pop
and rock albums. Well here is another one to add to your collection.
Candy Coated Waterdrops is a huge step up from their very successful
self-titled debut. Tiffany Arbuckle's vocals are as emotional and
inticing as ever. And the music has slightly fallen away from guitar-
driven modern rock songs. Plumb has included plenty of piano, drum
loops, strings, and electronic blips to satisfy your music palette. I
really like this CD. And the lyrics are beautiful and poetic. In
"World's Collide: a fairy tale," Tiffany sings "Giving everything for
love/ I'm finding out that's it not enough/ There's nothing left
between you and I/ I'm finding faith but losing us/ Where worlds
collide." A must have for the modern-rockers in all of us.
Lars-O-Meter: 7 out of 10.
