How did the band get started? In high school. Started out as a punk band and evolved into what we are today. Pat and Jeff were added last summer.
What is your goal as a band? Use our gifts, abilities and time to help others/give to the needs of others--spiritually and physically (rasing money, etc).
What style do you play? Alternative/indie/emo/pop Who knows?? Somewhere between All Star United and Folds Zandura.
Where are you guys from? A zoo called Kalama, Kalamazoo Michigan
What is the music scene like in your area? Pretty good. We're in a central location--Detroit, Chicago, Toledo, Grand Rapids are all fairly close.
What bands influence your band? More bands influence each of us individually than as a whole band. Check out our website to find some of our personal musical preferences.
What kind of a ministry does the band have? We've always been ministry oriented. That's the reason we do it. We consider ourselves to be missionaries in America.
What's the wackiest thing you've ever done in concert? We wore full body white chemical suites.
What would you say the best part of the show is? hopefully a Spiritual impact and then our music. We also do some fun/funny stuff in between songs. Last concert we gave away stickers to whoever could name who Pat was impersonating.
Do you ever play cover songs? Not serious ones, just goofy/fun ones.
Best and worst things about being in a band? Best and worst thing at the same time: A lot of hard, rewarding work.
Anything people should know about the band? We're in the process of going full time. We are affiliated with Extreme Faith (extremefaith.org) led by national speaker Tom Tufts Junior. We are expanding our ministry to becoming not only a concert band but also praise and worship. We're also doing things such as designing a 3 day conference weekend that we'll lead. Do you have any cds, demos, etc., out? It's recorded, not yet burned to CD format, check our website for any updates.
How can people contact you for merch and stuff? www.NoHeroes.com 'Nohbdy's Heroes Peculiar Website'
Any final comments? Thanks for doing this, very cool thing you've got going here.
