I had been told by friends that Mitchell (formerly Six Months Saved) was good, but I had no idea just how good until I heard their 3-song cd. They're seriously good! High-energy ska at its finest. The first song, "Maybe", is one I could really relate to about how even though it gets tough, we need to not let the world get in the way of our view of God. Check out these lyrics: "I don't need to build a wall around me, I don't need to isolate myself, I don't need to slip into denial, All I need is to turn to Christ for help." I think the song "Joyride" is my favorite track, as it keeps the theme of happy and energetic songs going. "Area 51" reminds us that our gift of eternity from God is precious and should not be turned down. Now one thing that is really cool about these guys is that they don't preach at you. They've totally kept God in their lyrics, and it's clear that they love Him will all of their hearts, but they don't try to shove Him down your throat. The bottom line: somebody needs to sign these guys!
