How did the band get started? well a bunch of my friends and i were sitting around a table before school started and we were all saying that we wanted to be in a band, and Pat was learning how to play guitar so he became our guitar player, and i decided that i would become the singer, and we just called up some other guys and asked if they wanted to start a band, and we decided to play ska to include a bunch of our friends.
What is your goal as a band? we would like to be able to present the message of Christ through a different style of music. we hope to get signed but right now we're just concerned with playing shows and spreading the Word
What style do you play? we started out trying to be like the Supertones, but that has all changed, and we're discovering our own type of sound. We've added a lot more punk to our songs, so I like to say that we're a punk/ska band.
Where are you guys from? East Wenatchee, Washington. but Andy is from Wenatchee, Washington
What is the music scene like in your area? a lot of people listen to country, there really isn't a scene at all.
What bands influence your band? Five Iron Frenzy, Slick Shoes, Less Than Jake, MxPx, Reel Big Fish, the W's
What kind of a ministry does the band have? it's nothing elaborate, we just try to be real. We say what Jesus has done in our lives, and we just try to present that in a clear, and fun way to the crowd.
If you had the choice, which band would you tour with? well since we've never gone on tour, I think that any band will do. I think it would be a cool experience to build good friendships amongst bands
Any interesting concert experiences or funny/weird stories? the first time recorded everything that could go wrong did go wrong. we swear that the studio we were in was possessed.
What's the wackiest thing you've ever done in concert? we bust out our satan beaters and jump around a lot and crowd dive. that is what we ususally do in concert, so i guess that we're always wacky
What would you say the best part of the show is? the end is the best part, by then the crowd is usually pretty into it, and it makes it fun for us.
Best and worst things about being in a band? best thing is the friendships we've formed, and playing concerts. the worst thing is probably the inner turmoil that sometimes arises
Anything people should know about the band? we are Christians. we're no better than anyone else, feel free to talk to us
What 5 cds do you think everybody needs to hear? it's not really a need but my 5 favorite are: FIF "Upbeats and Beatdowns", Slick Shoes "Burn Out", Dave Matthews "Live at the Red Rocks", the new Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake "Hello Rockview"
Do you have any cds, demos, etc., out? we recorded a little demo over a year ago, and we just finished recording a 7 song EP, which will be out whenever we get everything done on it
Any final comments? Through God all things are possible. Never lose hope, and never lose your faith.
