How did the band get started? Well Grim and Fluffy were messing around in Fluff's barn and they were waiting to practice with another band that they were in at the time. What ended up happening was they were trying to be as loud and annoying as possible. Then everyone else just fell into place.
What is the goal of the band? The goal is to make sure that everyone hears the word of God and knows the truth. We want everyone to have the chance to know Jesus and the best way we know how at this juncture in our lives is through music and the talents that God has blessed us with.
What style do you play? Fluffy might say it is country and the rest of the band would call it punk rawk. But whatever it is it's pretty good, oh wait that's not punk rawk additude: IT SUCKS!!!
What's the music scene in your area? Well let me tell ya sonny, our neck of the woods is home to Five Iron Madien, BLAH!, and the best punk band in Colorado... The Smiley Kids.
What bands influnenced your music? Social D, The Misfits, Starflyer 59, The Crucified, Rage Against the Machine,I don't know.
What kind of ministry does your band have? The kind that tells the world the truth through music and more imporantly through our lives. We want to break the misconception that you have to look a certain way, or be from a certain background to make it to heaven. God doesn't care about your appearance or background He cares about you and He loves you.
If you had a choice to tour with anyone who would you tour with? umm... Well our wish may come true this summer we may tour with 121, we probably would like to tour with Blaster the Rocketboy. Or any of our influences.
Any weird or funny concert stories? the band played at the college I go to for a class project i had.
What's the wackiest thing you have done in concert? We sing a song called vomit and both Grim and Tem have barfed during that song in concert.
What is the best part of the show?well I like the whole thing, but if I had ot pick a part it would be when they play the Song of Accents, I really feel the Holy Spirit move during that song.
Do you play any cover songs? we used to play Unbelievable by EMF. And we play our own version of Scotland the Brave, called Christian the Brave. And we paly Ghost Riders in the Sky.
Best and Worst things about being a band? Best we get to meet a lot of really neat people and travel and get some, not much, but some money to do what we love. The worst is when people look up to you too much, I think. No matter what humans will always let you down, but Jesus well never let you down. Look to Him for guidance and comfort, not people. See the movie the Apostle it's a good example of this.
Anything people should know about the band? We should have our second album (first nationally released) out in March or April, we are working with BulletProof Music on all the details right now, so pray for us please.
Do you have any cd or demos? See above, we are also on Underground 101 first song one the cd, we have an album out now called Anthems for a New Suburbia. Send $6 to The Fraidy Cats 2040 8th Ave. Greeley, Co. 80631 (make check out to Jerry Smith) and make sure to send a return address (sorry that wasn't a very subtle plug).
Any other comments? Thank you for reading this. Jesus loves you and you know what the Bible says about sinning.... It's against it. Thanks to our BulletProof family and the STC/SWO. God Bless, Love Always, The Fraidy Cats
