Tell me about who is in the band: Zeth - guitar, vocals (18) Brad - bass (17) Gabe- drums (15)

How did the band get started? well, zeth and gabe had been playing together forever and their old bass player quit...so I started playing w/ them and everything fit really well. We were really tight from the start.

What is your goal as a band? right now it's to get signed...that's our main goal.

What style do you play? new skool punk

Where are you guys from? zeth and gabe are from oak grove, missouri, I'm (brad) from independence, missouri

What is the music scene like in your area? it's ok...the local scene kinda struggles...it's getting better though. The national scene is at an all time low here though...we usually have tons of shows, like 2 big ones a month, but I haven't been to one in like 3 months.

What bands influence your band? Strung Out, Slick Shoes, MxPx, Good Riddance, Dogwood, The Ataris, Cooter, Ten Foot Pole, Unwritten Law, Craig's Brother

What kind of a ministry does the band have? well, I wouldn't say we preach at our shows...we don't wanna force anything upon anyone which is basically our own opinion I guess, some people would say that's bad, but if I was a non-christian at a christian show I wouldn't wanna be preached at, so it's kind of a thing of respect...but if someone comes up and talks to us about it, we're all for it...so everything is contained within our lyrics. We sing about life basically...some songs are about girls, others are about God, others are about friends....whatever just seems to be happening to us at the time.

If you had the choice, which band would you tour with? Slick Shoes totally...I know Jeremiah and he's totally cool.

Any interesting concert experiances or funny/weird stories? Well, zeth was playing my friend jeremy's PRS (Paul Reed Smith...expensive guitar) and I accidentally put two dents in the headstock cuz we bumped guitars a couple times cuz the stage was small....then we played in this really really small basement one time we had to rearrange furniture and take stuff out and put it in the garage just to fit us in...it was cool though. nothing too wacky I guess.

What's the wackiest thing you've ever done in concert? Well, I jump around a lot, so I guess that's the wackiest thing I do...I dressed up a like a trucker one time.

What would you say the best part of the show is? the end, cuz that's when we sound the best...the beginning is kinda hard sometimes cuz we're nervous.

Best and worst things about being in a band? best is becoming good friends with the other people in it...and getting attention from other people. Worst would be that it's very time consuming, hard to hold a job, go to skool and be in a band at the same time.

Anything people should know about the band? umm...well....I hate to say this but zeth is probably going away to college which will really hurt us...we'll be needing a new guitarist/singer definitely. I'd almost say we're breaking up for a while...kinda sad. I have mixed feelings about it.

Do you have any cds, demos, etc., out? we've recorded a couple times...we can put stuff on recordable cd's...other than that we don't have anything professionally done.

How can people contact you for merch and stuff? there's an address and phone number on our webpage. http://come.to/fireproof

Any final comments? this interview was cool...kinda made me feel important....hehe. If you read this, check out our webpage and be sure to check out our friends band, Twotimer, they rock. They're touring this summer. http://listen.to/twotimer
