Unleaded so tell me about the guys in theband, and something amusing about each
Paul the eldiv is joseph(voice, keyboard) james(guitar, voice) samuel(drums) and paul (bass) hmm, something funny about each? well, i dunno about each of us, but....sam is pretty funny. he does a dead on kramer impersonation...
Unleaded how would you describe your music?
Paul modern music.
Paul haha, i guess thats kinda ambigous huh?
Unleaded it sounds like rock meets emo, to me at least
Paul haha, rock and emo?? oh no!!
Unleaded haha whys that?
Paul no, no, no. i guess 'rock meets emo' is good. i mean really, i know there are certain styles that people work in, but you really can't pin any "sound" of music to words. music is just so open to interpretation...
Paul like color
Unleaded ....exactly...each song has so many different musical influences
Paul yea, the first album has that whole "bargain basement" feel about it.
Unleaded in what sense?
Paul there is a certain level of variety present, that you lose a bit of continuity...
Unleaded i totally agree
Unleaded every song sounds so unique
Paul thank you.
Unleaded no problem - its true
Unleaded what are you influences? musically and lyrically?
Paul musically we all listen to a bit of different things.....
sam and i are really getting into to some mid seventies-early eighties stuff(early cure, joy division, pink floyd) the sound on a lot of those records is just amazing...very expansive. gives it a certain desolate feel.... lyrically...i'm really inspired by random phrases and things...lines that might end up in your head, that you write a song around. when we work on lyrics we just get the mood of the song down and go from there...
Paul we're all also really inspired by film
Unleaded very cool
Unleaded as a band, what is your main goal?
Paul hmm, as a band we all want to write music that we feel strongly about. to be creative with our art. but as humans, i know the biggest thing is trying to live our lives like christ,so those things are very much intertwined. but, take paul klee, he was a painter who was also a christian, but he didn't really view his art as his "ministry". his life was his ministry, his art only reflected his life...
Unleaded i think thats so awesome, when that happens
Unleaded have there been any experiances at shows that stand out in your mind?
Paul we were playing a show with fern and sam was using their drum kit. and he ended up putting his foot through the kick, or maybe it was the snare he broke? anyway, they weren't mad...but i remember sam being so nervous...
Unleaded haha
Paul yea, it was very funny
Unleaded what plans are in the future for the band?
Paul this spring and summer we are going to be touring, and then in the fall we are going to record for our second album.
