The Elevator Division

--Imaginary Days

Wow. This cd really impressed me. It's hard to call the Elevator Division any one style of music. There's some rock, some emo....it's a really nice blend. Moody rock would probably be the best way to describe it. (Check out the interview with them for a better description). The album starts off with 'Ophelia' which is a slow moody emo song ... I can't stop listening to it. 'Into the Sea' is a bit harder, with modern rock influences. 'Away' is a beautiful song, I'm lost for words on how to describe it, but it's great. 'The Caribou Suit' is very nicely done, both lyrically and musicall. It's got a little rockabilly flavor to it - completely different from the rest of the cd, but definitely a nice touch. Lyrically it gets right to the point: " well take another look at me, not quite what you thought it'd be? cause when you stare the suits we wear are just what you want to see". The whole cd is just great, all of the songs are similar, yet very different and unique. Great cd guys.
