Tell me about who is in the band: I'm Chris, i'm 20... i play guitar and sing... Andy is 17 and plays bass and Jim is 19 (i think) and plays LOTS of drums =)

How did the band get started? I wanted to start a melodic newschool punk band because my old band (Peabody Myers) was more hardcore than I liked.. so i grabbed Andy who was the only punk kid i knew who played bass (i didn't know he was so good!), and his friend Phil joined as a second guitar player and this guy Ben from our church was on drums... For various reasons Phil and Ben left, and Jim asked me if i needed a drummer for a Christian band, so that worked out perfectly

What is your goal as a band? To write music that Christians can relate to.. and hopefully have a lot of people like us =)

What style do you play? Newschool pop punk somewhere between NOFX and Good Riddance.. fans of Dogwood and Slick Shoes would like us.

Where are you guys from? Chicago Suburbs

What bands influence your band? Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Dogwood, Rancid, Green Day, NOFX, Millencolin, Good Riddance

What kind of a ministry does the band have? Mainly i would say that our ministry is showing people that us band guys are human like they are, and we have the same struggles.. and hopefully maybe people will have their eyes opened to a truth from God that they may not have seen otherwise

If you had the choice, which band would you tour with? Dogwood... I'd like to tour with some of the other bands i mentioned as influences but i think our ministry would be much more useful with another Christian band.

Any interesting concert experiances or funny/weird stories? ummmmm... We recorded our first demo with an 8 track and 2 microphones... the drums were hard to record ;) that's all i can think of right now

What would you say the best part of the show is? Not screwing up

Do you ever play cover songs? We were gonna, but we haven't yet. Some possible future covers are Counting Crows: Einstein on the Beach, or Extreme: Hole Hearted

Best and worst things about being in a band? I can't write songs fast enough

Anything people should know about the band? Andy's girlfriend's little brothers think we're awesome.

Do you have any cds, demos, etc., out? right now just mp3's on our web site.. http://www.funwithdirt.com/dld/ but we're recording an EP soon

How can people contact you for merch and stuff? through the web site or email me at [email protected]
